Claire Corbett, owner of Epicurean Lounge café in Hinckley, has joined other female entrepreneurs for the annual MP HERoes event in the House of Parliament to celebrate.
The event, conducted by Savvitas in partnership with NatWest Business, highlights women business owners across the UK championed by their MP.
Dr Luke Evans, Member of Parliament for Hinckley and Bosworth, nominated Claire for the event after the business has grown from strength to strength since opening in January 2024.
Claire follows other local female entrepreneurs, Penny Price from Penny Price Aromatherapy and Julie Price from Julie Price & Co Insurance Services, in being nominated for the award by the local MP.
Claire Corbett, owner of Epicurean Lounge café in Hinckley, said “It is a privilege to have been nominated as an MP HERo.
“During the Spring Summit event I met a lot of amazing people and I am looking forward to working with this amazing group.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me, family, friends, staff and customers!”
Dr Luke Evans, Member of Parliament for Hinckley and Bosworth, said “We have many fantastic businesses in Hinckley and Bosworth, so it was my pleasure to welcome Claire from Epicurean Lounge to Parliament for the MP HERoes event.
“Championing other local businesses, hosting regular workshops, joining the Chatty Café Scheme and becoming a place for ladies to meet and discuss their experience with menopause are just a few of the ways that Claire and the team have supported our community since opening Epicurean Lounge at the start of last year.
“It's wonderful to see so many of our local businesses growing from strength to strength!”
