Barwell's Malt Mill Coffee & Bakery enjoyed a successful reopening in January and have launched a new menu for people across Hinckley and Bosworth to enjoy.

Dr Luke Evans, Member of Parliament for Hinckley and Bosworth, visited Malt Mill during the reopening weekend in January and encouraged the community to support.

Emily Cross, the new owner, has renovated, expanded upstairs and given the coffee shop and bakery a new slogan: “Freshly Baked. Perfectly Brewed. Always Wholesome.”

The new menu - launched on 19th March - features everything from full English breakfasts and American-style pancakes, to burgers, toasted sandwiches and herby roast potatoes with a choice of four toppings.

Emily Cross, Owner of Malt Mill Coffee & Bakery, said "In a time when the hospitality sector is facing significant challenges, the purchase of the much-loved Malt Mill Coffee & Bakery is my vote of confidence in the local community and the future of independent businesses.

"I'm committed to preserving the café’s welcoming spirit, while investing in quality; sourcing our key ingredients from local farmers and producers.

"The response to our recent relaunch has shown just how much our customers appreciate having an independent cafe at the heart of the town.

"Please visit our social media accounts for more information on our menus and upcoming events.

Dr Luke Evans, Member of Parliament for Hinckley and Bosworth, said "It was a pleasure to revisit Malt Mill Coffee & Bakery in Barwell again recently and hear how business has been since the reopening weekend.

"It's a difficult time for businesses - particularly in the hospitality and retail sector, such as cafes and pubs, as well as gyms and salons - as they're having to  juggle rising energy and food costs, tax hikes, the loss of business rates relief and extra red tape from the Government.

"So it's great to see that Emily and the team at the Malt Mill are attracting customers with the launch of a new menu, expanding seating upstairs and putting on craft workshops.

"Please do pop by to support Emily and the team at Malt Mill, or another local cafe near you, when you can - your custom goes a long way to ensuring they can stay open, the whippets certainly enjoyed it!"
